Volkswagen has posted a mysterious message on Twitter announcing a digitally trackable event that will take place on March 15. The message is accompanied by a video in which we see the ID name, after which Volkswagen counts down from 4 to 2. Volkswagen supplements the message with the text ‘More 2 come 4 you’ and the hashtag #VWforthepeople. It could just be that on March 15, Volkswagen will already show something of the new small electric car that will be built by Seat in Spain together with the Cupra Urban Rebel and a compact electric model from Skoda. If Volkswagen actually shows a car, it is most likely a study model. Based on insiders, the English Autocar reports that Volkswagen is indeed showing more of its new small compact model. The model will be placed on a smaller derivative of the MEB platform. The car will not resemble the ID Life Concept from 2021, by the way. Higher management has rejected the design of that study model. March 15 doesn’t seem like just a randomly chosen date either. On March 14, Volkswagen will hold its major annual press conference.
