Unique NFT of Rembrandt’s self-portrait on the Delft Blue Night Watch for sale

The world of art is digitizing at a rapid pace due to the arrival of NFTs. The Delft Blue Night Watch is the first project of the Art Entertainment initiative, a NFTart collective that brings together lovers of history, art and NFTs.

The masterpiece has now been digitized and is offered as NFT. There is with digitization according to the Metamorfoze guidelines worked. Metamorfoze is the program that is used internationally for the preservation of paper heritage and is a partnership between the Koninklijke Bibliotheek and the National Archives. The guidelines are used for digitizing photos, paintings and technical drawings in the highest possible quality.

What is the Delft Blue Night Watch?

The Delft Blue Night Watch by Art Attainment is one of the most famous pieces of art in the Netherlands. It is famous all over the world and is regarded as an ultimate masterpiece. The masterpiece can be admired at the Royal Delft museum in Delft.

However, due to the use of Art Entertainment, the DBNW will also be on display outside this museum. They have divided the artwork into 480 original tiles and each of these tiles will be sold in the form of NFTs.

Rembrandt’s self-portrait?

It is said that Rembrandt also (partially) depicted himself in the painting, but no proof of this claim has ever been produced.

This self-portrait by Rembrandt is so unique that the entire tile is offered as a single NFT. All other NFTs will be offered for sale at a ratio of 1:3.

The auction will take place on NFT marketplace OpenSea and will last a total of five hours. The one with the highest bid at the end of the auction will walk away with an extremely special NFT.
