Aurora, Aurora…hasn’t a car been named after the aurora before? So yes: the Oldsmobile Aurora. That (as far as yours truly is concerned) sedan was in American showrooms between 1994 and 2003. Complaints from Oldsmobile about the name Zenvo should not be expected, because the GM brand has not existed since 2004. Oldsmobile Aurora Moreover, the new Zenvo is cut from something else. We know Zenvo as a manufacturer of a hypercar that has been sold since 2007 in various variations such as ST1, TS1, TS1 GT, TSR and TSR-S. They all have a gigantic V8 with more than 1,000 horsepower, but Zenvo still takes it a step further for the Aurora. As expected, the newcomer will receive a six-liter V12 with hybrid support and must be able to reach a top speed of more than 400 km / h. We don’t know much more than this about the new hypercar, although Zenvo already reports that the car will come in two flavors. The Zenvo Aurora Tur is the GT of the bunch, a car more focused on comfort and long distance driving. This makes it not difficult to guess what the approach of the other is. The Zenvo Aurora Agil is indeed a more track-oriented version, with more aggressive spoilers and more downforce. Zenvo wants to build 100 Auroras in total. According to the Danes, 30 percent of these have already been sold, a percentage that will undoubtedly increase somewhat after the press release has been broadcast. The Zenvo Aurora will be unveiled in August.
